Description:  The nearly one hundred CSX unit covered hopper train took about 10 minutes to pass by me. It probably would have seemed so much longer if I had been one of the cars waiting to cross the tracks while it passed by!

Title:  Line of Gary Railway gondolas
Description:  The string of former Elgin, Joliet & Eastern gondolas, now on the Gary Rwy roster, head down the former EJ&E trackage in Griffith, IN. Note the new LED signals installed by CN a few years after the purchase of the EJ&E. Major upgrades have taken place along the former line - new crossovers, turnouts, switch heaters, signals, improved ROW drainage, tie & ballast replacements, landscape sound barriers, and cmproved crossing barriers to mention a few. As a result, there is a steady flow of traffic headed up by both CN and foreign power.
